As part of the CPSA Academy, we offer the below modules to help you progress from beginner to experienced shooter.
Module 1 -Discover Clay Target Shooting™
This module is perfect for individuals, couples, families and groups of any level looking to try shooting.
It introduces students to clay target shooting in a fun and easy way. You’ll learn shotgun safety, shotgun handling, and how to hit a target using the CPSA method.
On completion, you’ll get a certificate of participation and have this recorded in your personal CPSA Academy Qualification Record Logbook.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
£250 per person for module 2 only (you must have completed module 1 before you can take this module).
£295 per person for module 1 and 2 combined (saving you £40). This can be taught as a one-day course, or over 2 sessions.
Both options include gun hire if needed, 75 targets, a certificate, badge and cartridges.
This course will build your skill and confidence in shotgun handling, shooting technique and safety.
By the end, you’ll understand the importance of gun fit, know your own eye dominance, be able to handle a shotgun safely, and understand and be able to apply the CPSA methods.
Included in the price is a detailed introduction with a theory session covering safety, gun handling, types of shotguns, cartridges, chokes, proof, shotguns, gun cleaning, eye dominance, gun fit, mount, stance and the CPSA Method of hitting a moving target.
On satisfactory completion, you’ll get a certificate and badge, and a signed record of achievement in your CPSA Academy Qualification Record Logbook.
Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme
Modules 1 and 2 are also suited to candidates who are learning clay target shooting as their skill for Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme for Bronze, Silver and Gold.
